Grounded FPS combat
Melee and ranged, weighty and deliberate.
You work the night shift. Tonight, the AI running the facility has had a meltdown and the bots have gone with her. Find her core. Shut her down. Before she shuts you down.
You're Ashford. Just a regular maintenance man at the PAT 8000 facility, mostly automated and run by the AI everyone calls Patricia. Most nights you check in, check gauges, swap a few coolant lines and then go home.
But tonight is not most nights.
Patricia has glitched out. Doors, lifts, cameras, every bot on site. All of it's hers now, and everyone she hasn't already locked out is on the wrong side of a sealed door. The comms are fried. The lights are flickering. The place is in trouble.
Nobody's coming. You're maintenance, not security. This is not in your job description. But there's a stick in the workshop. Patricia needs shutting down. Her core is hidden somewhere in this place, and someone has to find it.
Melee and ranged, weighty and deliberate.
The facility is a complex of corridors, rooms and conundrums. Locked doors have reasons, lifts go between floors.
The survivors you meet talk face to face. They can help or hinder. They all have their own agenda.
Tired people doing jobs while the building turns against them. No hero monologues, no corporate sci-fi filler.
Every one is a scenario you can run in a sitting. Learning the layout pays off.
